The aim of this project is to streamline the clinical bioinformatics pipeline by creating an automated and modular framework that will reduce training time, reduce reporting turnaround time, facilitate adaptation to new tools and changes to wet lab processes and reduce errors through tracking of information from the entire pipeline. The focus is to demonstrate the value of genomic testing to the healthcare system by making genomic testing easier to order and interpret, and by reducing turnaround time and error rates. Reducing production workload via increased automation will also allow the Centre for Clinical Genomics to develop and offer a more comprehensive suite of genomic tests.

Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre respectfully acknowledges that we operate on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) nations who have cared and nurtured this land for all time. We give thanks, as uninvited guests, to be able to live and work on these lands.
